1st Diamond Creek Scouts Visit

On Wednesday, 20/10/10, the 1st Diamond Creek Scouts visited GMAC. The evening began with a flying demonstration including David Roberts magnificent twin-engine model. This was followed by a welcome by club President Robert Fonhof.

There were approximately 30 scouts around 11 years old. The troop was then split into groups with some flying trainers with the aid of club members, and some using flight simulators. The bulk of the group built chuck gliders with Brian Crowley and David Kerr. There are more pictures in the "Picture gallery"

Our thanks, once again, to these gentlemen. A great evening was had by the troop, who thanked the club and helpers with a resounding cheer. Thank you, to all club members who came along and helped.

Russell Edwards (President 2010-2011)
