Projects Approved By The Committee
Display Day
Sunday 25th March 2012.
The last display day was a huge success, and we are keen to repeat that in 2012.
Norm Thompson is the Display Day Co-ordinator.
To put on a Display Day, it must be a team event.
Your help would be appreciated.

Projects Under Investigation
Santa Anna Couch
This grass will provide a more drought-resistant and better surface than the current grasses. It requires a considerable amount of water to become established, but will survive far better than our current grasses in the event of future drought conditions. By planting in late August, the need for watering is not required or at least minimised. Beyond the establishment period, a supply of water is preferable but not mandatory.
240v Power
Due to cost, this is a long-term project, but would provide many benefits.
Power Related Projects
Once 240v power is established, this will open the door for many related benefits and projects. Eg:
- Refrigerators - A 240v fridge would work better than the existing unit.
- A drink machine could be added to the clubhouse and should (at least) pay for itself.
- Battery Charging - EP models are increasingly popular, and in time we may face increasing pressure to move away from IC models due to noise, pollution, contamination and housing developments.
- Computers & Simulators - Many benefits for training and visitors.
- Automated electric waterings systems.
- Web & Security cameras - Web accessible cameras for security and member information. The existing weather station is web-compatible.
